After a concussion or brain injury, some people are left with trouble focusing, headaches, irritability, or poor sleep long after the injury itself. If you're exploring options to add to your recovery plan, here's what neurofeedback is and how it works.
How it works. Sensors on the scalp read your brainwaves while you watch or listen. When your brain moves toward a steadier pattern, the screen or sound responds. In standard neurofeedback, the sensors only listen; nothing is sent into the brain.
Who it may suit
What it isn't. Neurofeedback doesn't diagnose or treat a brain injury. If you've had a recent head injury, see a doctor first. Get emergency care right away for a worsening headache, repeated vomiting, confusion, slurred speech, or weakness.
Skip the drive. With home training, you use our equipment and app on your own phone or tablet. Your practitioner reviews your sessions and adjusts your plan as you go, and we start with a video call to set you up.
What it costs
Not sure it's right for you? Book a free 15-minute phone consult. We'll talk about your goals and tell you honestly whether neurofeedback is a good fit.

Neurofeedback is not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a licensed medical or mental health provider. Results vary from person to person.
