Trauma can leave the brain stuck on high alert: poor sleep, a short fuse, feeling on guard in safe places. Neurofeedback gives your brain a chance to practice calmer patterns. Pathways welcomes veterans, first responders, and anyone living with the effects of trauma, in our Chattanooga office or at home.
How it works. Sensors on the scalp read your brainwaves while you watch or listen. When your brain shifts toward a calmer pattern, the screen or sound responds. In standard neurofeedback, the sensors only listen; nothing is sent into the brain. You don't have to talk about your trauma during sessions.
Who it may suit
What it isn't. Neurofeedback isn't a replacement for trauma-focused therapy or VA care. Please keep working with your care team, and don't change any medication without talking to your prescriber. If you're in crisis, call or text 988 and press 1 for the Veterans Crisis Line.
Skip the drive. With home training, you use our equipment and app on your own phone or tablet. Your practitioner reviews your sessions and adjusts your plan as you go, and we start with a video call to set you up.
What it costs
Not sure it's right for you? Book a free 15-minute phone consult. We'll talk about your goals and tell you honestly whether neurofeedback is a good fit.
